Where is your studio?

Our studio is at Unit 4, 2 Soar Road, Quorn, Loughborough, LE12 8BN. We are between Loughborough and Leicester, a short drive from Mountsorrel, Rothley, Syston, Birstall, Barrow upon Soar, Sileby and Shepshed. All work is carried out indoors at the studio.

Do you cover Leicester and the rest of Leicestershire?

Yes. Customers travel to us from across Leicestershire, including Leicester, Loughborough and the surrounding villages. We are studio-based rather than mobile, which is what lets us work indoors under proper lighting, so you bring the car to us in Quorn.

Do you do car valeting as well as detailing?

Yes. A valet is a thorough clean inside and out; detailing goes further and works on the paint itself with machine polishing and protection. We do both at our studio in Quorn, near Loughborough, and we will tell you honestly which one your car needs.

Do you clean engine bays?

Yes, engine bay cleaning can be included as part of a detail or valet. We clean and dress the bay carefully, keeping water away from electrics and any components that do not want it.

How much does it cost?

Every car is different, so we quote each job individually rather than listing fixed prices. Size, condition and the work you want all change the answer. Tell us about your car and what you would like done, and we will send you a free quote.

What warranty do you offer?

Our ceramic coating and our paint protection film are both backed by a 5 year warranty.

What is the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?

Paint protection film is a clear physical layer that absorbs stone chips and scratches. A ceramic coating is a hard, glossy chemical layer bonded to your paint that adds gloss and makes the car far easier to keep clean. Film protects against impact; a coating protects against chemicals and makes washing easier. Many owners have film on the front end and a coating over the rest of the car.

What does self-healing mean for PPF?

The film we fit is self-healing, which means light swirls and scratches in the surface of the film close up again with warmth over time, so the finish stays clear rather than hazing.

Can you remove scratches and swirl marks?

Paint correction removes swirl marks, light scratches and dull, tired paint by machine polishing the clear coat. Deeper damage that has gone through the clear coat, or a scratch you can catch a fingernail in, may need a different repair. We will tell you honestly what can be achieved before you commit.

How long does the work take?

It depends entirely on the work and the condition of the car. A detail may be a day; paint correction and protection often need the car for longer. We will tell you what to expect when we quote, so you can plan around it.

Is it worth protecting a brand new car?

Often, yes. New cars frequently arrive with transport marks and light swirls, and protecting the paint before the first winter is far easier than putting damage right later. We can correct the finish first and then apply a coating or film.

How should I wash a coated car?

Gently, and less often than you would expect. A careful two-bucket wash with clean mitts and towels is ideal. Avoid automatic car washes and harsh brushes, which put swirl marks into any finish, coated or not.
